The Wicked Witch Of D.C.
On ABC's This Week, host Christiane Amanpour asked House minority leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA8) whether she supported Occupy Wall Street. "I support the message to the establishment -- whether it's Wall Street or the political establishment and the rest -- that change has to happen," Pelosi replied. "We cannot continue in a way that is not relevant to their lives. People are angry."
Amanpour then played footage of House majority leader Eric Cantor (R-VA1) calling the protesters "mobs." Pelosi shook her head. "I didn't hear him say anything when the Tea Party was out demonstrating -- actually spitting on members of Congress right here in the Capitol," she said.
Nice try, Nancy, but that never happened. The Tea Partiers do not carry violent signs, interrupt commerce, or threaten violence. The rent-a-mobs you embrace are nothing but Democrat tools. You know all this, but choose to lie to the American people. You, and your liberal co-conspirators, are beneath contempt.
JASmius adds: Remember the source, Jen, remember the source. These animals are hapless, blind-guide, radical/extremist ideologues whose range of propaganda memes is every bit as narrow as their philosophical horizons. They are what they are, believe what they believe, and are incapable of (heh) "change". It worked wonderfully for them when the political winds were at their backs after sabotaging the financial sector and framing the GOP for it three years ago; now they've completely "screwed the pooch" both policywise and politically, they're hurtling towards a castastrophic electoral wipeout next year, and there's nothing they can do to stop it. And on some subconscious level they really are aware of it, but rather than commit ideological suicide by moving right in the hopes of some measure of political survival, they burrow even deeper into the rancid folds of that same destestable ideology, clinging to the self-delusion that if they keep spewing the same irrational spin and demanding the same discredited policies, everything will magically turn around for them.
Remember how Bill Clinton use to flummox our side by employing that survival technique Crazy Nancy eschews? He'd pursue policies just as extreme (e.g. HillaryCare, Mediscare, etc.) and then turn around and say things like "The era of Big Government is over," and we'd snicker that nobody would buy it, except....a lot of our numbnut countrymen did buy it, and we'd be left spluttering in frustrated outrage as he cruised to re-election. We chalked that up to a savant-like ability for prevarication unique unto Sick Willie, but I think any Dem, including Red Barry, could pull it off and sucker many, if not most "independent" voters - if they were willing to put political survival ahead of ideological zealotry.
They say that sometimes it is better to be known for one's enemies. I say better still that those enemies be stupid ones.
