Iran, says Walid Phares, which is just another way of saying that the mask the American Left has been festooning on the mullahgarchy for thirty years is pretty much only persisting in fooling them anymore.  On the other hand, how much even short-term PR damage to the Tianenman Square massacre twenty years ago do the the ChiComms?

And no, Dr. Phares was not referring to the United Soviet Socialist Republics of Obamerika, but only because the mullahs had that three decade head start.

The son of the usurped Shah tells Red Barry the whirlwind he's about to reap:

Six years ago I argued that our tanks should keep right on rolling into Iran and take out the biggest terror regime of all. My online debate opponents called the idea "madness". Now the Iranian people are proving to the world that they agree with me, and my opponents' "god" is abandoning them AND us to our mutual eradicators.

Barack Obama is the harbinger of death. The only place that man is "leading" us is to our end.

What Red Barry's friends and allies in Iran do in their spare time (h/t: Tom Gross):

Boy, isn't Iranian "democracy" inspiringRed Barry certainly thinks so.

This is the regime that Barack Obama admires so much.  This is the regime that Barack Obama wants to pilgrimmage himself to Tehran to bow down to.  This is the regime that Barack Obama won't criticize for fear of "offending" and spoiling his pilgrimmage opportunity, all the while bullying its intending Jewish victims into saving them the trouble by committing national suicide.  And this is the regime that Barack Obama is perfectly happy to see build a massive arsenal of nuclear weapons.

I'm telling you, the Li'l President is taking notes for 2012, mark my words.

Aren't you glad the president has his priorities straight?

President Barack Obama is set to sign into law an anti-smoking bill that will give the Food and Drug Administration unprecedented authority to regulate tobacco.

Obama is scheduled to sign the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act during an event Monday in the Rose Garden. The law allows the FDA to reduce nicotine in tobacco products, ban candy flavorings and block labels such "low tar" and "light." Tobacco companies also will be required to cover their cartons with large graphic warnings.

I'm sorry, where in the Constitution does it give the government the right to do this? And won't the busybody small-minded liberals be happy?! You'll do as we want or we'll MAKE you, by golly! Meanwhile, in Iran, innocent people are dying because of their thirst for freedom, something which America should be supporting with everything we have. Obama seems to have no time for trivialities such as this. Why, there are smokers to punish! By the way, isn't Obama a smoker...? Never mind, he could be a pedophile and his sycophants would still love him.

Rest in peace, Neda.

JASmius adds: Um, Jen, don't you mean Barry O could come out of the closet as a genuine evangelical Christian and start opposing abortion as what it is - pagan child sacrifice - and becoming an archfoe of homosexual special rights - which the lavender lobby is already convinced he is by not having reported for his sodomist baptism yet - and his bootlicking analinguilizers would still bow down to his metrosexual, "deer in the headlights as the 'New Cool'" self?  It's not as though pedofiles aren't a far higher caste than disciples of the True Messiah in False Messiah's Shamennial Kingdom, after all.

Whose side is Barack Obama on? Is there any doubt?

I've started a new blog so I can ramble about this and that...you know, things that don't really belong here. It's at http://www.jensgyrations.blogspot.com.

I see the little tinpot dictator in Iran has pulled off a landslide. Why isn't Jimmy Carter monitoring those results, huh? Why, you just KNOW it was a fair election, right? Wonder if Mahmoud had ACORN working for him?

Ahmadinejad, in a televised address to the nation, said the election had been "free and healthy."

Oh. Well then. I feel MUCH better now.

Michael Totten has a lot more here.

Could this be the beginning of the end of the mullahgarchy?  My heart would love to say yes, but my mind just doesn't believe it.  The only people on the planet rising up against the Iranian theocrats are the Iranian people themselves, and they do not and will never have any support whatsofreakingever from Barack Obama, who after all has not gotten the chance to get down on all fours and wait for his good, close, personal friend Adolph The Younger to extend the appendage of friendship.

Michael Rubin's scenario seems much more likely:

The danger, however, is that if the regime ever collapses under its own weight, the ideologues who would have custody over the nuclear program might decide to launch, figuring both that they’re not long for the world anyway and so have nothing to lose, and also assuming that neither Israel nor the West would retaliate against Iran when the perpetrators of the launch were already gone from power.

Ahmadinjad's "re-election" eliminates any fading, fleeting chance that might have still existed - and which readers of this site know I dismissed years ago - of averting a nuclear war in the Middle East.  It will now be a question of who strikes first.  And the Israelis, who dare not wait to do everything they can to take out Iran's nuclear facilities, and in a matter of no small irony itself, also have little to lose by acting "unilaterally" since their former ally, the United States, has, under the demonic leadership of Barack Hussein Obama (as evidenced by his Cairo Manifesto), turned as bellicosely against them as Europe (at the very least) and even Iran itself.

Looks like that 3AM phone call Mrs. Clinton spoke of a year and change ago will be ringy-dingying in the very near future.  Question is, what will False Messiah do when matters have moved beyond pumping the air full of empty, useless words?
